Nicole Ferraro is a costume designer, costume buyer and wardrobe stylist based in Perth, Western Australia, working across Film, Television, Documentary, TVCs and stills campaigns.

A graduate of the Western Australian Institute of Fashion & Textiles, Nicole began her career in the fashion industry as a Production Manager before transitioning into costume departments across film and television. Most recently, she worked as the Costume Buyer on feature film The Engagement Party (2026) and television series The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer (2025). She has also worked in the costume departments of feature films, including Whale Shark Jack (2025), Slam (2018), OtherLife (2015), Paper Planes (2014), and These Final Hours (2012) and the Postcard Bandit Documentary (2026).

Nicole's most notable work includes costume design for feature mockumentary Top Knot Detective (2016)feature films Crazy About You (2019) (also known as The Naked Wanderer) and Koko: A Red Dog Story (2019). She has also worked with talented artists such as Abbe May and John Butler Trio, as well as advertising clients including BGC, City of Perth, D’Orsogna, The Grout Guy, Horizon Power, HBF, Lotterywest, Optus, St. John’s, Transperth, Tourism WA and XXXX Gold.

Nicole received an Australian Production Design Guild Awards nomination in 2017 for Best Costume Design on a Television Production for her work on Top Knot Detective

She also produced her debut feature film, PIECES (2022), under Third Storey Pictures, which was released in cinemas across Australia and is nominated for a 2022 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award for Best Indie Film.

Growing up in regional South Western Australia, Nicole developed a keen interest in diverse characters and the nuanced expression of their stories through costumes. Combining her practical approach with a strong visual aesthetic, she brings these characters to life from script to screen.
