Top Knot Detective screens at Revelation Perth International Film Festival

July 10, 2017

SBS, Screenwest, Screen Australia funded feature length Documentary Top Knot Detective will screen during the Revelation Perth International Film Festival across three dates at both Luna Leederville and Luna SX in July 2017.  Co-written and Co-Directed by Aaron McCann and Dominic Pearce and Produced by Lauren Brunswick.

Nicole Ferraro is a Western Australian based costume designer and stylist for film, TV and stills.

A graduate of the Western Australian Institute of Fashion & Textiles, she began her career in the Fashion Industry working as a Production Manager, eventually finding her way into costume departments across film and television. 

Nicole's most notable work includes costume design for feature mockumentary Top Knot Detective (2016), feature films The Naked Wanderer (2019) and Koko: A Red Dog Story (2019). She has also worked with talented artists such as Abbe May and John Butler Trio, as well as advertising clients including BGC, HBF, Lotterywest, St Johns, Tourism WA and XXXX Gold.

Nicole received an Australian Production Design Guild Awards 2017 nomination for Best Costume Design on a Television Production for her work on Top Knot Detective. 

Growing up in regional Western Australia, Nicole has a keen interest in diverse characters, combining both her practical approach and strong visual aesthetic to bring them from script to screen. Nicole communicates costume across various mediums, passionately collaborating with colleagues and creative teams and is particularly drawn to challenging projects that engage and evoke audiences.
